Ellorah is 9 months old today!
Ellorah has finally hit the 3/4 mark! Nine months old today...at 10:52 p.m. to be exact! It has been a whirlwind the last few months, she has been growing by leaps and bounds and learning new things everyday! She just had her 9 month checkup yesterday and all was great. She's almost 19 pounds and almost 27 inches. Some of her new tricks are standing by herself, pulling up and cruising furniture and adding more words to her vocabulary daily. I think she's almost got "puppy" down...and sometimes it sounds like she is saying 'dog". Has perfect pitch on "mama" and "dada" too. And I think she's said "bye" and "up". She's started doing this fun growly voice thing where she tries to jump at you at the same time...it is very cute, and she's been trying to crawl out of her crib!!! She's enjoying cheerios and drinking her water from a sippy cup. Dr. Bain said it's a good time to start her on some meats or protein of some sort..I suggested lentils b/c the idea of small chopped or pureed meat just grosses me out...so we'll stick to meatless proteins for now. I'm going to try her on some chickpeas and lentils this weekend and see how that goes. She's not too fond of the chunky foods I made her this past weekend yet, but does like chunks of soft banana and things like that that she can chew on...and, NO TEETH YET! Norm and I have wondered if she'll ever get any, but I know they will come. Good thing now though since I am still nursing!!
