Hey...look what I got stuck on my finger!
So yes, as the title implies...Ellorah had her first "something stuck on my finger" moment. We were merrily taking christmas photos, and Norm gave her a little christmas bell to hold while I was getting the camera set up..well, we were taking lots of pics and thinking how cute it was that she was holding the bell so good...until we realized, she wasn't just holding it...it was stuck! And stuck good! We tried pulling it off (screaming baby) then wiggling it off (screaming baby)...to no avail. I could see her finger was starting to get a little red and puffy...so we tried soaping it up and running it under some cold water (screaming baby)...still couldn't get it. She was perfectly fine if we stopped trying to take it off...but I couldn't let my little baby girl go through life with a red christmas bell stuck on her finger, so I went off to retrieve my jewelry pliers, thinking I would pry open the hole a little so we could slide her finger out. Finally, Norm was able to twist it just so - so that it allowed her little finger fat to slip right through the slot. Whew. ER visit adverted. I wondered how many instances like that the ER sees at holiday time. I purposely put only metal or wood ornaments on the tree this year, thinking glass ornaments would just be asking for trouble. : )
In other news, we are busy gearing up for Christmas, and then soon after Ellorah's first bday. We also had a visit from the Stanochs from Minnesota...they came all the way from the ice and snow to the warm 70 degree temps of Texas...and what did we do? We took them to see the ICE exhibit at the Gaylord Texan. hah. How is that for irony? See new pics below! Enjoy!

That is a great story! We can't say that anything has been stuck to Evie's finger yet.
