Arbor Hills Nature Preserve

Arbor Hills Nature Preserve

We took some family time yesterday and visited the Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in Plano...it's right up the street from Presby Plano. Kinda weird, all this nature right in the middle of the city, but it is a nice little relaxing spot in the middle of all the hoopla of Plano. There is a walking trail, mountain biking trail and lots of things to explore and see. Ellorah really enjoyed it, and the weather was great. Forgive her messy hair in the pics, she wouldn't keep her hat on, so her daddy had to slather her head in sunblock!

Updates on Ellorah, the girl is getting heavy! At her last weigh in, she was 22-23 pounds...although, we couldn't quite get the most accurate weight, whenever we put her on the scale at Dr. Bains, she screams bloody murder..not sure what that is about. She's also doing really good with her eating and sleeping! YAY! She packs it away, and is game to try most anything. Loves pickles..and other sour things. GIve her a lemon and she eats it and giggles. She is her mother's child. She's started loving being outside and loves to watch the birds and airplanes. She hates having her hair washed now, but is slowly getting better with that. We'll go back for her 15 month checkup this month, where she'll have to get some shots. : ( Hopefully she will do well!

Easter

Easter fun!

Ellorah had a big time for her second Easter...she was much more into it this year than the last! We colored eggs, and had several egg hunts. She really did well with the hunting, really knew just what to do and filled her basket. At her school that had a petting zoo, pony rides and all sorts of activities to do. She ended up getting a golden egg, which won her a prize! yay! We also got to attend a big easter eggstravaganza with her Aunt Sarah and Uncle Michael and Snowden Grandparents. They had a petting zoo also, and she really liked petting the little goats. She also got to ride her first pony! A little white pony with hot pink mane and tail, named Fancy. I thought she might be a little scared to ride it, but she smiled and clapped the whole time and really enjoyed herself. I think she thought she was such a big kid. On the Saturday before Easter, we got together with all her cousins and had another egg hunt at Aunt Sarah's house. She had a big time playing with all the other kids outside...we ended up with nice weather, so that was a bonus! On her first Easter, we had snow!
